Ms. Garmpi graduated from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004. Subsequently, she attended the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, where she obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) in International and European Law, specializing in Banking Law, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, and Corporate Law. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, where she obtained a Master of Laws in Business Law (MBL) specializing in European Competition Law and the sectoral law of Energy and Telecommunications. She has participated in and obtained certifications from the University of Cambridge (Downing College) in the United Kingdom in EU Competition Law, from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and very recently from Lund University of Sweden in AI & Law.
She practices law responsibly, undertaking civil and commercial law cases, as well as representation before the competent judicial and administrative authorities. Specifically, she has provided legal services to companies in various sectors of business activity, such as the automotive, fashion and other consumer goods, energy, and real estate sectors.
Her experience includes handling complex legal matters for well-known multinational and Greek companies and organizations, including Philip Morris Products SA, Microsoft Hellas, Ford Motor Hellas, Hyundai Hellas, Mercedes-Benz Hellas, Volvo Cars Hellas, Sportscar SA, Evobus Hellas, Levi Strauss Hellas AEBE, Mexx Hellas, Nike Hellas, Diesel Hellas, Sixty Hellas, Tetra Pak Hellas, Chiquita Hellas, DeLonghi S.r.l., Heron S.A., Prenecon Prime Energy Constructions S.A. and Messaritis Renewables S.A.
She has served as Legal Counsel of Sixty Hellas S.A. and as Head of Legal of Shop & Trade S.A., a leading company in the wholesale and retail apparel sector, with a strong network of more than 1,700 wholesale customers and a significant presence in brick-and-mortar retail (60 corners, shop-in-shops, franchises and own stores), as well as in e-commerce through the platforms “Bloobox.gr”, “Salomon.gr” and “Superdry.gr”.
Most recently, she joined a large listed construction group as Manager, responsible for Commercial Contracts and Retail Development, focusing on the legal structuring and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, retail projects and mixed-use developments.
Ms. Garmpi specializes in commercial law, specifically corporate law (mergers and acquisitions), distribution law ( selective, exclusive) and commercial agency, banking and other commercial contracts, competition and unfair competition law, commercial leases, consumer protection, intellectual property, data protection, marketing law, and energy law. Furthermore, as part of her cooperation with commercial companies, she is also actively involved in labor law.
Finally, she has participated in the writing of scientific legal articles in the legal journal "Global Merger Contra Manual" (Chapter for Greece, Collective Work). She speaks English, French, and German.
